Setup Guide

Set Up IPTV on Android TV

Android TV devices — including Nvidia Shield, Chromecast with Google TV and Android boxes — are among the easiest platforms for IPTV, with players such as TiviMate available directly from the Play Store.

What you need

  • An Android TV device or Android box with the Google Play Store
  • An active Strong 8K IPTV subscription (credentials arrive by email)
  • A stable internet connection

Step-by-step setup

  1. Install a player from the Play Store

Open the Google Play Store on your device and install a compatible player such as TiviMate — or use the Downloader app to install one of the free Strong 8K player apps (the current codes are in our blog guide).

  2. Open the player and add your account

Launch the player. Choose the option to add a playlist or Xtream Codes login and enter the server address, username and password from your delivery email.

  3. Wait for the catalogue to load

The channel list and on-demand sections load after login. First load can take a little while depending on the catalogue size.

  4. Start watching

Browse live TV or the on-demand library and start playback. Add favourites for quick access.

Configuration tips

Players like TiviMate let you configure the TV guide source, recording storage (if supported by your device), favourites groups, and video player engine. Adjust these in the app's settings after your first login.

Troubleshooting

Login fails

Check the server address exactly as written in your email (including http/https and port). Credentials are case-sensitive.

No picture but audio plays

Try a different player engine in the app settings, or update the app to the latest version.

App crashes on start

Clear the app's cache from Android TV settings, reinstall if needed, and confirm your device has enough free storage.
